Vineyards

The 2024 Malbec from Uco Valley underwent a meticulous vinification process designed to showcase the distinctive characteristics of this high-altitude Argentine region. The grapes, harvested at optimal ripeness from vineyards nestled in the Andean foothills, were carefully sorted and destemmed to ensure the highest quality. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, where temperature control was rigorously managed to maximize flavor and color extraction while preserving the varietal's inherent vibrancy. This was followed by malolactic fermentation to soften the acidity and enhance the wine's silky texture.Post-fermentation, the Malbec was aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for several months. This oak aging not only contributed to the wine's complexity by adding subtle notes of vanilla, toast, and spice, but also helped to integrate the tannins, resulting in a smoother, more rounded profile. The careful balance of new and used barrels ensured that the oak flavors complemented rather than overwhelmed the natural fruit and terroir expressions. The result is a well-structured and balanced Malbec that captures the essence of Uco Valley, oering depth, elegance, and the potential for further maturation in the bottle.

Wine

Show casing a deep, vibrant purple color, indicative of its intensity. On the nose, this Malbec bursts with aromas of ripe blackberries and plums, complemented by subtle floral notes of violets and a hint of earthiness, which adds complexity and allure. The palate is rich and full-bodied, oering a lush texture and layers of dark fruit flavors, including black cherry and blueberry. These fruit notes are beautifully intertwined with nuances of dark chocolate and a touch of leather, enhanced by the oak aging that imparts a subtle smokiness and hints of vanilla. The tannins are well-structured and smooth, contributing to a robust yet approachable mouthfeel. The finish is long and satisfying, with a lingering spice that invites another sip.
